Support local.
We have now reached the point in the pandemic where it’s fair to wonder whether the end is finally in sight. Cases are plateauing across the country, and more and more folks are getting vaccinated every day.
As the country begins to reopen, there’s never been a better time to check out your local farmers market. That’s true whether you’re in it for the fresh produce, local distilleries or on-the-go meals.
Here’s our list of the five best Portland farmers markets.

OK, so we can’t visit the Moreland Farmers Market until May 19. But that doesn’t mean we’re not excited for yet another season of Southeast Portland’s oldest farmers market. Located on SE 14th Street, in the Sellwood/Moreland neighborhood, the MFM is unique in offering a Senior Nutrition program courtesy of Bob’s Red Mill and other local donors. It also has featured neighborhood favorites like Lifted Lotus, Roundhouse Foods and Raw Oregon Honey.
