Sir Anthony Hopkins has found a buyer for his charming (and fire-resistant) Cape Cod residence in Point Dume, Malibu, roughly six months after putting the estate up for sale.
The 82-year-old actor decided to part ways with his five-bedroom home at the beginning of the year, listing the property for $11.5 million back in February. Santiago Arana of The Agency was the listing agent for the property and he told the Wall Street Journal that Hopkins’ decision to sell was prompted by a desire to be closer to Los Angeles.
While Anthony Hopkins’ home was in the path of the devastating Wolsey Fire which destroyed much of the area in 2018, the mansion survived the blaze, largely unscathed. The same can’t be said about the home next door, which was completely destroyed by the fire.
Set on a cliff’s edge and overlooking the ocean, Anthony Hopkins’ house sits on about an acre of land between Zuma Beach and Point Dume, opening up to breathtaking beach views.
Built in the 1950s, the house is reminiscent of an English manor, with dormer windows jutting out of the distinguished brick red roof. Spanning roughly 4,000 square feet, the mansion comes with five bedrooms and five bathrooms, two fireplaces and a large living room.
There’s also an art room in a cabana by the pool — which comes with the added appeal of knowing that Anthony Hopkins has been using it extensively throughout the past years, with works of art created here ending up on the walls of his oh-so famous friends (Hopkins has reportedly been gifting paintings to all his celebrity friends).
Another particularity of the home is that the master bedroom comes with a sauna fitted with a wall glass — to maximize beach views even when relaxing inside. Though admittedly, who would want to spend any time inside with the ocean spread right outside your front door?
With the home selling for $10,500,000, Hopkins has made quite a profit, even if the sale price was one million dollars short of the asking price. And that’s because the actor reportedly paid only $3.8 million for the Malibu property back in 2001.
But it was never about the money for him. In an older 2011 interview with People magazine, Hopkins shared his love for Malibu, and how excited he was to be living here: “I come from a country where everything is gray,” the Welsh-born actor said at the time. “I came out here in 1973 and loved the color. I thought I was in paradise. Still do.”
Anthony Hopkins, a regular presence on our screens for the past half a century, has starred in iconic movies like The Remains of the Day, Meet Joe Black, Legends of the Fall, and The Elephant Man. And despite great critical acclaim for his most recent work in The Two Popes, he will always be remembered as Hannibal Lecter, with his 1991 performance in Silence of the Lambs landing him countless awards, including the coveted “Best Actor” nod at the Oscars.
Beyond his Hollywood nods, Anthony Hopkins was honored as Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1987, only to later be knighted by the Queen a few years later, in 1993.

“Days of Our Lives” alum and Hallmark darling Jen Lilley is selling a charming condo set in a gated community in Pacoima, CA. The apartment is listed with Laura Pardini of Compass and priced at $365,000.
In line with the perfectly styled interiors Lilley is shown on screen with, her impeccable two-bedroom combines different textures and pops of color, giving it a distinct dramatic flair — which landed the apartment a past feature on HGTV.
As the listing points out, the apartment has been beautifully renovated with custom wall coverings, hardwood floors, and designer lighting. The spacious living area features a gas fireplace, with the adjacent dining area leading into an open kitchen, fitted with granite counters and stainless steel appliances.
Our favorite room of Jen Lilley’s apartment is definitely the master bedroom, a serene suite that features plenty of calming wood details contrasted by bold, dark walls. The result is spectacular, and makes for an inviting and chic bedroom — perfected by the en suite bathroom and walk-in closet.
The second bedroom and bathroom are equally well-appointed, and in the hallway, you’ll find an Instagram-worthy laundry closet features a washer-dryer and shelving. How cute is that?
All in all, the apartment is as endearing as its owner, who’s been charming us with her screen presence for well over a decade. After breaking out into television with a role on General Hospital, Jen Lilley landed the part of the devious Theresa Donovan on Days of Our Lives (role which she’d be happy to resume, according to recent interviews). She later left the show in 2018, after a five year run, to focus on her film career, as Lilley has acted in dozens of movies in the past few years, currently holding the informal crown of queen of Hallmark movies.
The actress, a parent of two sons through foster care, has been keeping busy during isolation by publicly supporting foster care, raising awareness and funds for Project Orphans.

If you’re nostalgic for the Golden Age of Hollywood and want to capture part of the charm of the period, here’s a little something to take you back: legendary actor Burt Lancaster’s family home in Beachwood Canyon.
Lancaster, a four-time nominee for the Academy Award for Best Actor (with one win under his belt), starred in many iconic roles throughout his 45-year career in film and television. He’s best know for his roles in The Killers (1946) starring alongside Ava Gardner, From Here to Eternity (1953), Elmer Gentry (1960), and Field of Dreams (1989). The American Film Institute ranks Lancaster as #19 of the greatest male stars of classic Hollywood cinema.
The actor lived in a four-bedroom, four-bath home on Beachwood Drive, built back in 1941 by one of the city’s premier architects, Max Maltzman. Known best for his grand, high-style Los Angeles apartments and hotels, Maltzman had a very distinctive style which he imprinted on Lancaster’s traditional-style home.
Luckily, Maltzman’s design has gone largely untouched throughout the years, with no major exterior updates being made. The interiors, however, have undergone significant changes, to bring the property up to modern standards.
The home is currently on the market for $2.399 million, with Josh Myler and Jeff Kohl of The Agency holding the listing.
With a total of 2,800 square feet of living space, the Beachwood Canyon home has a large master suite with fireplace, and two additional bedrooms that open to a screened porch with lush hillside views, all located on the second floor. There’s an additional bedroom on the ground floor that can be used as a home office or gym.
The updated interior features a spacious open plan with great flow for entertaining, with multiple French doors opening the rooms of the house to the sunny outside — where you’ll find a private fenced backyard with mature trees, terraced gardens, and plunge pool.

If you often find yourself conflicted while watching Dead to Me — Netflix’s hit drama series that recently launched its second season — you’re not alone. Sure, nobody wants the burden of all the secrets Jen and Judy are carrying, nor the pain that comes with them. At the same time, if you’re like me, you’ll find an irresistible pull to live in Jen and Judy’s world; and if you haven’t yet figured out why that is, then let’s break the spell together: it’s because of Jen’s house.
In fact, set decorators have made an extra effort to make Jen’s house in Dead to Me aspirational — with the bright, open spaces and luxurious decor standing in stark contrast with the dark storyline and the anger often showcased throughout the series.
And it only makes sense for Jen Harding — a successful local realtor, whose face is plastered on street benches throughout the area, as we learn very early on in the show — to own a beautiful, perfectly appointed beach house. The house itself is an extension of the character, and does a great job of complementing Jen’s character traits.
Does the house in Dead to Me exist in real-life?
Said to be in Laguna Hills, Jen’s house has been carefully picked to match her social status and character features. And while the team has scouted several homes in the Laguna Beach area, including going to open houses and looking up properties on Zillow and Redfin, they eventually settled on a Sherman Oaks house for exterior shots.
A real-life house at 3847 Deervale Drive in Sherman Oaks plays the part of Jen’s house in Dead to Me — but there is no guest house on that property. Judy’s guest house, along with the interiors of Jen’s house have been built on a sound stage.
Set decorator Brandi Kalish (who also did the interiors for other shows like Silicon Valley, You’re the Worst, and White Famous), opened up about the design choices for the Dead to Me house in a lengthy interview with Refinery29, where she even addressed some of the subtle changes we’re seeing inside the house in the show’s second season.
“A set is like a character. And, as a family lives in a house and they go through all their trials and tribulations, different layers of the characters will speak in the house. So we thought about what Jen is going through and what items would be Judy’s and Jen’s sons and things like that and add those layers inside the house. But we also have to keep the continuity of the house — like I said, it’s similar to a character. So basically it has to look the same, but it has to evolve over time.”
When asked what her favorite part of the house is, Kalish said she likes the blue paint most — chosen to evoke the ocean nearby, but that in the end added a contemporary yet kind of sinister look to the home.
Our favorite? That would definitely be Jen’s kitchen, a showstopper that’s bound to catch your eye whenever a scene takes place here. With sparkling white furniture, granite countertops, the finest appliances, and a massive kitchen island with bar stools, the kitchen is an absolute delight. Oh, and there’s also that cozy breakfast nook with garden views.
If you haven’t yet gotten a chance to watch the show, Dead to Me is a Netflix production centered around a powerful friendship that blossoms between Jen (played by Christina Applegate) — a recently widowed real estate agent trying to come to terms with her loss — and Judy (portrayed by Linda Cardellini, of Avengers fame). The two grieving women bond during therapy, with Judy soon moving into Jen’s guest house. However, Judy has a dark secret that causes a disturbing plot twist, leading Jen on a path to unravel the mystery of her husband’s death and secret life.

Not a day goes by without a member of the Jenner-Kardashian clan holding magazine covers; but this time around, it’s for the best possible reason, as Kendall Jenner gave course to a standing invitation from Architectural Digest to tour her home in Beverly Hills — and will be gracing the covers of the publication’s next issue.
Now, given that Jenner’s house is one of the most serene residences we’ve seen so far among celebrities calling Beverly Hills home, we just had to share the highlights of the tour with our readers. Trust us, you won’t want to skip this one.
Kendall Jenner lives in Charlie Sheen’s old house
The 6,625-square-foot Spanish-style home is located in Mulholland Estates, a gated community with its own security, popular among celebrities for this very reason (musicians like Christina Aguilera or DJ Khaled have also bought into the community in the past).
The supermodel bought the house back in 2017, and reportedly paid $8.55 million for the star-studded property, which was once owned by Two and a Half Men actor Charlie Sheen and his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller. Before them, Jenner’s house had another high-profile resident, Detroit Piston’s owner Tom Gores.
Kendall Jenner then went on to make the place her own, and put together a design team consisting of mother-and-son duo Kathleen and Tommy Clements — which she often credits for the interiors during her A.D Open House tour — and the expert team at Waldo’s Design. And while her work is not done, as Kendall admits that creating a nice home for yourself is a life-long process, the end result is an inviting, peaceful home where the 24-year-old can retreat to, meditate, and entertain friends.
Her home has calm, earthy interiors — punctuated by colorful, pricey art pieces
“My life involves a lot of chaos and travel and high energy, so I wanted a home that feels serene, a place where I can simply zone out and relax,” Jenner told the Arch Digest team. With that goal in mind, she fitted her home with warm, organic textures, earthy tones, and very comfortable furnishings.
Jenner has often spoken publicly about her battle with anxiety, so it comes as no surprise that her home has been envisioned as a calming refuge; all throughout the 6,625-square-foot home, you will find meditation corners, places to prepare tea, or bright, open spaces that lead to the serene backyard. In fact, the house itself is U-shaped, which means that every part of it connects to the green backyard area.
For her more creative moments, Jenner converted a movie theater into an art studio fitted with canvas drapes (you know, the type you can paint on). This too adds to the mindfulness aspect of the home, as Kendall sees working on her art projects as a form of therapy.
While Kendall Jenner’s house doesn’t abound in expensive luxury furnishings, the artwork is a whole different story. Starting with the signature James Turrell ovoid wall sculpture at the entrance (which actually spurred some debate as to whether she is hanging the artwork properly), the model’s art-filled space also features a neon Tracey Emin sculpture over the bedroom fireplace and a salon-style hang above the dining room table, anchored by a Lauren Greenfield photograph of Beverly Hills high school students ditching class.
Zen elements and artwork aside, the young member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan made sure her home doesn’t lack any modern-day comforts and glam elements. She turned two bedrooms into a fitting room and nearby glam room, the latter of which she’s dubbed her “Hannah Montana room.” Just like her mom, Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, Kendall has a perfectly appointed walk-in closet and a shiny, gold brass tub that anchors her master bath.

If you follow any celebrities on social media (and let’s face it, it’s borderline impossible not to), you’re probably already familiar with their glamorous lifestyle, dreamy vacations, expensive cars, and overly expensive clothes and accessories.
And while few of us dream of owning Lamborghinis or millions of dollars worth of jewelry, there’s one thing about the celebrity life that’s bound to leave us all daydreaming: their incredible homes.
Celebrity homes are often the pinnacle of luxury, and even when they’re not, they are unique in style and pack the most incredible amenities. A-listers and influencers often work with the most skilled interior designers to bring their dream homes to life, with the end results most often leaving us all in awe.
And while each celebrity is different (particularly when it comes to their quirks, affinities, and tastes), we couldn’t help but notice some common themes that popped up on many of the celebrity digs we’ve covered in the past. From private home theaters and basement bowling alleys to infinity pools with underwater sound speakers or private vineyards, here are some of the most extravagant features celebrities pack in their million dollar homes.
#1 Private home theaters
Who could say no to a movie night out with friends, coupled with a big bag of popcorn and a cheery mood? Well, while most of us typically indulge ourselves in this type of outing once a week (at most), celebrities like to have it all at a foot’s length with the luxury of a private home theater that can be enjoyed any day, every day.
By far the most common amenity, found in every single celebrity home, private home theaters have become more and more popular in recent years, with many regular homes (albeit priced above average) now packing this amenity. Let’s hope the other amenities on our list will soon follow, and we’ll all get to enjoy them in our own homes.
#2 Personal bowling alleys
One unexpected feature we’ve been seeing in celebrity homes, especially as of late, are personal bowling alleys. In fact, many A-listers’ homes now have bowling alleys in their basements, either to replace or complement more traditional forms of game or billiards rooms.
Lady Gaga’s house in Malibu is famous for its fun two-lane bowling alley in the basement, which you can only access through a secret door in the living room. Tennis star Maria Sharapova also has one in her perfectly-appointed house in Los Angeles; though not a big fan of bowling herself, Sharapova admits that the installation came as a ‘bit of a surprise’ and that she now loves hanging out there with her friends and family.
#3 Infinity pools
Long thought to be a luxury reserved for the finest resorts in the world, infinity pools have been widely adopted by luxury real estate developers across the U.S. and incorporated in the most expensive spec homes and upscale residential projects.
Defined by their ‘invisible boundaries’, infinity pools have glass walls and water overflowing one of its edges, producing a striking visual effect of water with no boundary. While a striking addition to any home, infinity pools are expensive and require extensive structural, mechanical, and architectural detailing, and a particular attention paid to the chemicals used to maintain the water crystal clear.
Among the most beautiful infinity pools we’ve seen among celebrity homes: Alicia Keys’ and Swizz Beatz‘ extra-long infinity pool that juts out over the cliff’s edge, Tom Bilyeu’s (co-founder of billion-dollar brand Quest Nutrition) wraparound infinity pool in his new, Netflix-featured mansion, Beyonce’s dual infinity pool, or Travis Scott’s party-ready pool overlooking the hills (pictured below), that comes with an underwater sound system.
#4 Walk-in closets the size of a living room
With such an active lifestyle full of high-profile events and with paparazzis following their every move, celebrities must always be on point with their clothing and accessory choices. And it only figures that they would need massive walk-in closets to store their wardrobe — and display it in a way that makes sense and allows them to easily find the perfect outfit.
Celebrities like Kris Jenner or daughter Kendall are famous for their massive closets (Kendall Jenner’s house even takes things a step further and adds a glam room & a Hannah Montana-inspired changing room to the mix), while stars like Christina Aguilera, Blake Lively, or DJ Khaled have separate closets to hold their shoe collections alone.
#5 Wine rooms & cellars
Celebrity wine lovers make sure their homes are well-equipped with special facilities to preserve — and serve — their favorite wines. Now a regular staple among celebrity homes, wine rooms feature intricate display walls for bottles, temperature control to extend the lifespan of the wine, and even dedicated bars to serve the beverage.
Others have even found unique ways to make their wine rooms stand out, like celebrity chef Giada de Laurentiis whose previous home had a glass-cased wine room with provocative underwater views of the pool.
#6 Home airports
Who needs a 4-car garage, when you can have your own airport at home? Or at least that’s what must have been on John Travolta’s mind, as the actor bought a home set in Jumbolair Aviation Estates, an airpark that allows its tenants to park their planes right at their front door, making travel all the more convenient for the busy star.
Now, your turn: if your bank account showed just as many zeroes as those of your favorite celebrities, which unique features would you choose for your new home?
The Palm Springs area was a crazy popular celeb destination in the 1950s and ’60s. Frank Sinatra had his own place in Rancho Mirage, with Dean Martin and Marilyn Monroe each having vacation homes in Palm Springs. Other notable celebrities of the times like Ginger Rogers, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez all had homes nearby.
So there’s no surprise that the mid-century home built for Bing Crosby and his second wife, Kathryn Grant — shortly after their marriage in 1957 — was set in Rancho Mirage. The 70375 Calico Road house which became home to the Crosbys had been designed to accommodate guests and parties as extravagant and entertaining as its owner — America’s first multimedia superstar, who at the time was the first celebrity to lead the charts in record sales, radio ratings, and motion picture grosses alike.
The home’s most famous guests, though, were definitely Marilyn Monroe and John F. Kennedy.
As the story goes — according to Monroe’s biographer — the two stayed at Crosby’s 70375 Calico Road home at the same time, with many speculating that this is the place where their rumored love connection may have blossomed. In honor of their stay here, the two-bedroom attached casita has been named the JFK Wing.
Crosby only lived at the Rancho Mirage home for a few years, before he moved to another home he had built in nearby Palm Desert.
But the home retains quite a few elements from its past celebrity owner who loved to live large, including expansive indoor and outdoor living areas with sliding glass doors that completely recess into the walls, a theater room with projector, and a huge living room with stone fireplace.
Spread on nearly 1.14 acres, the 70375 Calico Road home comes with approximately 6,700 square feet of living space that extend into the outdoor areas. The stylish residence beautifully blends art and architecture in a mid-century design with a nice Moroccan theme.
Set in the Thunderbird Heights community of Rancho Mirage, a city near Palm Springs, the 70375 Calico Road estate comes with great views of the Coachella Valley.
Among its most striking features, Bing Crosby’s former home lists a large living room with a stone fireplace and bar, a chef’s kitchen, movie theater, a beautiful and spacious 1,400-sq. foot master suite with a stunner of a walk-in closet and a fireplace, and four additional en-suite bedrooms.
The property was last listed for sale at the beginning of 2019, with an asking price of $5 million, repped by Linda Taglianetti, Fredrik Eklund, and Gail Vasquez of Douglas Elliman. And while the ‘for sale’ listing is no longer active, the old Bing Crosby estate is also offered as a vacation rental, so if you want to bask in that Old Hollywood charm, you can book your stay here.
*article last updated on August 2, 2020, to reflect that the property is no longer for sale. A first version of this article was published on February 2019, when the Bing Crosby’s former home was first listed.

Celebrities have a hard time staying out of the spotlight. Their photos, daily habits, and personal lives are always gracing the pages of gossip magazines, whether they like it or not. And with the so-called paparazzi always lurking, it’s no wonder that Hollywood celebs value privacy above all else when buying homes.
For celebrities who have to stay close to the spotlight, but who also want to enjoy some quiet beach time away from the prying eyes of the media, Malibu is a highly sought-after destination.
This exclusive neighborhood has been a Hollywood favorite since the 1930s, and nowadays its private beaches are lined with stunning celebrity homes (and some quite memorable TV show homes). The Malibu lifestyle even appeals to real-life royals, as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were checking out properties in the area earlier this year — before they reportedly decided to settle down in Santa Barbara.
Celebrities that call Malibu home
Celebs love Malibu because, even though it’s just a stone’s throw from Los Angeles, it offers a lot more privacy and seclusion than, say, Beverly Hills, not to mention some downright gorgeous beachfront views. Some of our favorite movie and music stars have lived here on and off during the years, while some have no plans of ever leaving. Let’s check out 10 of the biggest celebrities who live in Malibu right now, in no particular order.
Hollywood darling Courteney Cox has a lot in common with our favorite F.R.I.E.N.D. One thing is that both Courteney and Monica, her character in the iconic sitcom, are highly attached to their homes. Cox has lived in Malibu for more than a decade, and she doesn’t have any intention of ever leaving.
Over the years, she has put in a lot of work into her forever , a Malibu beach house which features guest cottages, a movie screening room, as well as a tennis house, among other things.
Lady Gaga’s full-time residence is a 10,270-square-foot stunner right across from Zuma Beach. The singer paid $22.5 million for her home in 2014, and she’s become so fond of it that she’s dubbed it her ‘Gypsy palace.’ We’ve recently taken you on a tour of Lady Gaga’s precious sanctuary, which was also featured in the Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two.
Spoiler alert: the house isn’t as wacky as you might expect it to be, at least not when compared to the homes of other celebs on this list.
Hollywood leading man Leo DiCaprio owns several luxury properties around the world, including a lavish oceanfront home in a part of Malibu known as ‘Billionaires Beach.’
DiCaprio bought his 1,765-square-foot home in 1998, presumably after hitting it big with Titanic, and invested in upgrades over the years. The actor, whose roles include Rick Dalton in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Gatsby in The Great Gatsby, decided to list the three-bedroom bungalow as a rental in 2017, for ‘just’ $25,000 a month.
Singer Miley Cyrus has been living in Malibu for quite some time now, and she doesn’t seem to be in any rush to leave. She used to share a home here with her former husband Liam Hemsworth, but it was destroyed in the 2018 Woolsey Fire, which damaged a lot of celebrity homes in the area.
Cyrus wasn’t going to let this unfortunate event run her out of Malibu, so she bought the house right next door to the original site. Her funky bachelorette pad cost her $2.4 million, $4.4 million shy of the home she used to share with Hemsworth.
You might remember that during season 10 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Caitlyn Jenner (back then, Bruce) moved into a stunning home in Malibu, yearning for seclusion and getting away from all the media hype.
Not long after, Jenner moved on to a stunning hilltop mansion (also in the Malibu area) that came with awesome views of the ocean, which she now shares with her dogs and current girlfriend, Sophia Hutchins. The 2018 Woolsey Fire nearly destroyed her idyllic home, but luckily the damage was contained and Jenner can continue enjoying her Malibu peace and quiet.
Robert Downey Jr.
Robert Downey Jr., better known as Tony Stark from his iconic run as Iron Man in the Avengers franchise, has been living in Malibu for quite some time now.
He purchased a massive $13.4 million property in 2009, which includes pretty much everything you could ever dream of, including a zoo, playgrounds, swimming pools, and jaw-dropping car collections. The actor must have seriously fallen in love with the area, since he snapped up another Malibu home in 2017 for $3.5 million.
Interestingly enough, this house shares the same zip code as Tony Stark’s fictional home near Point Dume. Coincidence? We think not.
Def Jam Recordings co-founder and iconic music producer Rick Rubin is no stranger to luxury Malibu living. The producer purchased the legendary Shangri-La recording studio, which once housed Bob Dylan, in 2011, and he also bought several homes in the nearby area over the years.
Rubin seems to also have a hidden talent for interior design, as one of his Malibu projects was highly praised and featured by the Wall Street Journal in 2017. One of the most unique features of his Malibu oasis lies in its emphasis on music — every room in the house is fitted with a state-of-the-art speaker system that ensures uninterrupted listening experiences.
Music and fashion icon Cher is another long-time resident of Malibu, which should be reason enough for anyone to move there immediately. The singer teamed up with Ron Wilson for the 19th time to renovate a Renaissance-style villa overlooking the ocean and turn it into a fortress of privacy.
The result is truly stunning, and reminiscent of the former Versace Mansion in Miami Beach, which Cher visited on multiple occasions. The 16,000-square-foot home is, as Architectural Digest put it, just ‘as dramatic as its owner,’ featuring Gothic chandeliers, Egyptian rugs, and more.
Mel Gibson’s Malibu mansion looks like it was built centuries ago, but it actually dates back to the 1990s. The actor paid $11.5 million to buy it from David Duchovny and Tea Leoni in 2008, and has continued to own it ever since, even though he’s put it up for sale twice over the years.
In 2017, Gibson listed his 6,578-square-foot home for $17.5 million, but failed to actually found a buyer for it. He then listed it again in 2019 for $14.5 million, but the discount didn’t take the property off his hands (at least not yet).
Supermodel Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber own quite a few properties in California. Among them is a gorgeous Malibu home that they bought in the 1990s, and which they’ve been using as a summer rental for $45,000 a month.
They listed the property for sale, and managed to find a buyer earlier this year who was going to acquire it for $6.5 million. Unfortunately, the buyer had to back out of the deal due to the global pandemic, but Crawford was very understanding of the whole situation, and graciously let the buyer out of the deal, even returning their deposit.
Crawford is so in love with the area that she’s got another gorgeous Malibu property to enjoy with her lovely family, which Vogue toured in 2017.
These are just 10 of the biggest Hollywood celebrities living in Malibu at the moment. But since the area is unlikely to lose its appeal among the rich and famous, expect to see many more A-listers flocking to its sandy beaches and oceanfront location. However, if Malibu doesn’t tickle your fancy, then be sure to check out these 10 celebrities who live in Beverly Hills.

Hollywood has plenty of well-kept secrets, and one of them is this house in Malibu that seems to be attracting celebrities like a magnet. Which comes as no surprise, given that its owner is a celebrity herself. Betty Moon, a well-known singer, songwriter and producer, is known to have quite the flair for real estate, with her previous projects landing her quite a few mentions in luxury magazines.
Located off Malibu Knolls Road, her three-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2,100-square-foot rental hasn’t been struggling to find tenants — and high-profile ones at that. Even though it costs a whopping $35,000 / month, celebs have been lining up to chill at the property, so you might want to get in line.
And if you do decide to give it a try, you’ll be in good company: Matthew Perry reportedly rented the home in August, Cardi B has booked November, and Taraji P. Henson will be renting it from January through April 2021. You might be wondering, what’s so special about this house that it has celebrities lining up to live here?
First of all, Malibu in itself is one of the most popular destinations for the rich and famous. It offers luxurious properties, proximity to Los Angeles, as well as seclusion and privacy, which is what celebrities are desperately craving. For these reasons, there are a lot of celebrities living in Malibu, including Robert Downey Jr. and Edward Norton, who live fairly close to the Malibu Knolls Road property.
Secondly, celebrities travel a lot, so many of them prefer to rent rather than buy a home in each place they visit — although some of them do. However, renting a celeb-friendly, luxury home in Malibu doesn’t come cheap, but it might be totally worth it.
This Malibu celeb magnet is the epitome of indoor-outdoor Cali living, featuring large glass walls that seamlessly blend the interior with the grounds. It’s also perfect for entertaining, as it includes an infinity pool with fabulous ocean views, a spa, and a fire pit. Can you think of a better way to spend those warm California nights?
The entertainment continues inside, as the house includes not one, but three indoor fireplaces, as well as a media room, making sure you stay entertained throughout the entire year. Amenities include everything you could possibly need, from in-unit laundry and air conditioning to five parking spaces, an outdoor patio and a cabana.
As previously mentioned, the house not only rents out to celebrities, but it’s also owned by one. Betty Moon, a celebrated Los Angeles musician, songwriter and producer, currently owns the property which she recently renovated before listing it for rent.
Moon is no stranger to flipping houses and luxury properties in the area; she made news with her Encino property in 2018, garnering mentions in the LA Times and the Wall Street Journal.

Walton Gogginsis selling his Los Angeles home, a lovely 5-bedroom home tucked behind dense landscaping just above Hollywood Boulevard. The actor, known for his prominent roles in The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, Justified or Django Unchained and now the star of CBS’s heartwarming sitcom The Unicorn, bought the home back in 2010, when he was getting ready to welcome his son Augustus, now 10.
The two-story brick home has both French and Spanish touches as well as beautiful, eclectic interiors that combine vintage décor and boho chic influences with modern elements. The results are so spectacular that the home caught the eye of over 20 publications, with Architectural Digest, Maison Du Monde or GQ all featuring it in the past. Now, Goggins is looking to sell the charming home for $3.35 million and has enlisted the help of Josh Myler of The Agency to find a buyer.
Stylish vintage interiors pay tribute to the roaring 20s
Originally designed and built by Harold O. Sexsmith in 1927, Goggins’ home retains many of its original features. From the original coffered front door to the hardwood floors, or the arched openings to the casement windows, every detail has been meticulously restored, maintaining the original charm, warmth, and essence of the 1920s.
The foyer that welcomes visitors is accentuated by original period tile floors. To the left, there’s a stylish and sophisticated formal living room, whose surrounding windows and overall scale allow light in from every side. The most striking elements in this room are an oversized, original stone wood-burning fireplace and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves that line one of the walls.
The living room opens to indoor/outdoor dualling lounges, which are connected by French doors and offer privacy for more intimate gatherings. In fact, the whole house is filled with comfy gathering places, both indoors and out.
“My philosophy is a person shouldn’t have to take more than six or eight steps without having an opportunity to sit down for a conversation to begin,” the actor once told a GQ reporter that toured his home.
A wonderfully elegant kitchen
The main floor is completed by a fully equipped eat-in chef’s kitchen with wood and marble open shelving, punctuated by elegant brass fixtures that complement the rich, dark wood cabinets. The actor’s kitchen features a lovely dining area that, just like the living room, is surrounded by top-to-bottom bookshelves that complete the inviting, bohemian look. Next to the kitchen, there’s also a large pantry with accompanying laundry facilities.
The bedrooms are bright and inviting
On the main level, there’s also a guest bedroom with a full en-suite bathroom. But the bulk of the sleeping quarters are on the second level, where there’s a primary suite (boasting a chic bathroom and large walk-in closet) and two additional guest bedrooms and a bathroom.
Walton Goggins’ retro home office
One of the most eye-grabbing rooms of this celebrity house is the home office, with its distinctive retro style and vintage furniture. With big windows inviting plenty of natural light in, the actor’s office also has a comfy seating area and a wall made entirely out of corkboard, perfect for memorabilia or for staying organized with work files and charts.
Stepping outside to a whimsical backyard
In line with the overall romantic feel of the European-inspired home, the outdoor area is whimsical and inviting, with a large swimming pool that is framed by citrus fruit trees and string lights. Since the actor finds gathering spaces to be of utmost importance, the quiet, private backyard features two outdoor dining areas, and extra seating set around a fire pit.
