It’s time to think outside the boring box for this year’s holiday card haul.
With the holidays coming up, you’ll likely start receiving greeting cards from your family and friends. These are wonderful reminders of the people that you have in your life and it’s nice to know that they thought of you and wanted to send you something to commemorate the year. But after a while, these cards might start piling up — especially around Dec. 9, which is Christmas Card Day. What should you do with them once you receive them? Instead of throwing them away after you’ve looked at them or stacking them on the corner of a counter in your kitchen, you can incorporate them into your décor and display them for everyone to see! Here are some Christmas card display ideas for your apartment.
1. Hang them with ribbons

Use a metal board of some sort (it can be anything magnetic, really — a flat piece of sheet metal, a pizza tray from the dollar store, a cookie sheet, etc.), hang or lean it up against a wall and use magnets to hold your holiday cards up.
To further customize it, you can make your own magnets by using hot glue to attach beads, painted stones or other small items.
5. Utilize an old shutter
