Meanwhile, Triick will oversee a team of portfolio managers and analysts dedicated to the company’s public strategies. He will also serve as a portfolio manager for all mutual funds, ETFs, and interval funds. Triick has been with Angel Oak for over 12 years and most recently served as senior portfolio manager.
“Namit will serve as an excellent CIO for Angel Oak Capital Advisors and brings valuable insight from the private strategies side that will be instrumental in leading the full investment management team and charting the investment landscape for 2024 and beyond,” Prabhu said in a press release. “Our vision was to create a more integrated investment management platform where the best minds of Angel Oak can work together for the benefit of our clients, and Namit will be exemplary in unlocking that potential.”
These organizational updates are in anticipation of the planned departures of co-CIO Sam Dunlap, who oversees public strategies, and senior portfolio manager Colin McBurnette, who is scheduled for the second half of 2024. Angel Oak is preparing for a collaborative transition to ensure continuity in its investment process and client experience.
