Who was the best drunk or alcoholic character in a movie or television series? I don’t know if it’s the best, but I love the drunk airplane scene from Bridesmaids, and who doesn’t love Homer Simpson? After polling the internet, people voted these as the best-drunk characters ever.
1. Hawkeye Pierce, M*A*S*H
“The point was he was drinking straight gin masquerading as a martini, and he had a raging alcohol problem like many others at the 4077th. He wasn’t trying to be sophisticated. He was trying to sear his nervous system after living two years in a war zone,” one suggested.
2. Kitty Forman, That ’70s Show
“Kitty from That ’70s Show. When she’s at the male strip club, and she’s drunk and dancing with her hair bouncing, I lose it,” admitted one. “It took me forever to realize she was a drunk. It had to be pointed out to me. Drunk Fez was always hilarious, too,” a second confessed. “She wasn’t always drunk, but when she was, man, she went hard. Love you, Kitty,” a third user declared.

“My pick as well. The dude would fool you into thinking he was redeemable to piss you off and disappoint you one more time,” someone stated. “I think that’s what makes him such a good drunk character. There’s a ton of alcoholics that put on the show that they are going to get better, to hide getting drunk more,” a second replied.

“Fun Fact: He spins his pistols in opposite directions. One goes forward and the other backward. It is a subtle hint that he’s not as drunk as he appears and is still fully capable of using his pistols. It’s what stops Music Lover. He sees that coordination and knows not to push his luck,” someone suggested. “I’ll be your Huckleberry!”
9. Lucille Bluth, Arrested Development
Jessica Walter, the voice of Archer’s mom Malory is on the list again for her character as Lucille Bluth on Arrested Development. “Her cackling up at her joke off-camera while she walks down the hall gets me every time,” said one. “For me, the joke isn’t funny; it’s her thinking it’s the best thing ever, and Michael and Job have to wait for her to finish laughing to continue their lines,” another confessed.
