While he may not have secured a spot on Team USA for the Paris Olympics, Boston Celtics shooting guard Jaylen Brown is fresh off a legacy-defining season.
The eight-year NBA veteran made his third All-Star team, won Eastern Conference finals MVP and Finals MVP, and helped the Boston Celtics win their first NBA championship since 2008.
And while he’s winning big on the court, he’s hoping to bank a personal win too. He just listed an industrial-style penthouse with a historic vibe he owns on Melcher St. in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood for $4,750,000.
One of the highest-paid small forwards in the NBA, Jaylen lives in a sprawling 7-bedroom mansion in Wellesley, bought back in 2020 for $7.8 million. So he likely hasn’t lived in the Fort Point condo for quite a while.
Nevertheless, the Melcher Street penthouse reflects the sartorial icon’s style and features open-concept, industrial-yet-warm interiors that perfectly complement the building’s historic appeal. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?

The stylish 2,964-square-foot penthouse sits atop a 1916-built brick building at 49 Melcher St. in Fort Point, the former industrial district along Fort Point Channel filled with historic lofts, art studios, and galleries.
The building is also home to a popular local steakhouse called Mooo…. Seaport.
It has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms

The unit consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and 1 half-bath, and a spiral staircase that leads to a generously sized rooftop deck.
It has a luxurious primary suite with a walk-in closet, and an en-suite bathroom with a double vanity and walk-in shower.
The MVP of townhouses

“It’s the MVP of town houses. It really is,” real estate agent George Sarkis — who shares the listing with Manny Sarkis of The Sarkis Team at Douglas Elliman — says of the $4.75 million Fort Point penthouse.
“The open concept, the feel of it, the brick and beam,” Sarkis told Boston.com. “To see this at about a 3,000-square-foot scale is very hard to come by. Having one of Boston’s steakhouses in the building is a big bonus.”
The unit retains many of the building’s original features
Photo credit: Surette Media Group / Douglas Elliman
Much like the other historic homes and converted buildings around Fort Point, the building retains its most coveted original features.
Brown’s penthouse has exposed brick walls, oversized factory windows that flood the open floorplan with natural light, and a 12-plus-foot ceiling with the original wood beams.

The historic elements are beautifully complemented by modern additions throughout the open-concept floor plan, particularly in the kitchen, which has been equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and an eat-in island.
The large living area — comprised of living, dining, and kitchen — can easily be configured differently, should the future owner choose to do so.

Heading up a spiral staircase, future residents and their guests can enjoy a private 400+ square-foot roof deck to take in the bustling city life below.

Nowadays, Jaylen Brown lives in the suburbs

As for where Jaylen Brown is heading next, we’re guessing he already made his choice years before listing his penthouse in the city.
Brown has been famously living in the posh Boston suburb of Wellesley, Massachusetts, known as one of the most expensive towns in the country.

Back in 2020, Jaylen Brown scored a $7.8 million deal for a massive 10,099-square-foot home in Wellesley that had previously been listed for $11 million.
Sitting on 1.53 acres of land, the mansion has 7 bedrooms, 9 baths, and boasts a farmhouse style with modern aesthetics.

Since he’s nice and settled in the suburbs, Jaylen is now parting ways with his Melcher St. penthouse, and has hired Douglas Elliman top producers George and Manny Sarkis of The Sarkis Team to help him offload the city residence.

As financial targets pave the way for interest rates to (finally) fall, the real estate industry is cautiously optimistic about a late-year boost.
At Inman Connect Las Vegas, July 30-Aug. 1, 2024, the noise and misinformation will be banished, all your big questions will be answered, and new business opportunities will be revealed. Join us.

This week: As financial targets pave the way for interest rates to (finally) fall, the real estate industry is cautiously optimistic about a late-year boost.
It’s rare for sometimes-dry economic forecasters to get what you might call “giddy,” but this week’s economic news seems to have done the trick. Inflation numbers began to reflect already-falling rent rates, creating the circumstances that might (finally) lead to a drop in interest rates — and a commensurate boost to the real estate market.
“It’s finally happening,” wrote Jay Parsons, a real estate economist who has noted for over a year that falling rents showed national inflation would plummet.
EXTRA: ‘It’s finally happening’: Cooler inflation opens the door to rate cut
In his testimony to lawmakers, Fed Chair Jerome Powell sounded a cautiously optimistic tone regarding the “considerable progress” the economy has made toward the Fed’s 2 percent inflation goal. “Reflecting these developments, the risks to achieving our employment and inflation goals are coming into better balance,” Powell said.
Rates are once again trending down after spiking following the June 27 presidential debate, as bond market investors who fund most mortgages are increasingly convinced the Fed will cut rates in September.
After flirting with 7 percent, rates for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages began to retreat, pulling back to an average of 6.96 percent on July 3, according to rate lock data tracked by Optimal Blue. Subsequently, rates on 30-year fixed-rate conforming loans have come down another 20 basis points, to 6.76 percent, as of Thursday July 11.
The CME FedWatch Tool on July 5 put the odds of a September rate cut at 78 percent, up from 74 percent on Wednesday and 64 percent on June 28. By Friday, July 12, futures markets put the odds of a September rate cut at 94 percent, and investors are pricing in a 52 percent chance that the Fed will cut rates by more than 50 basis points this year.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan who schedules their life around the release date of every new movie (that’s us) or you haven’t seen the Caped Crusader since Tim Burton’s fanciful depictions in the ’80s and ’90s, the lure of Batman and the sinister world of Gotham has been drawing us all in some way, shape, or form, since the 1960s.
With yet another brand new Bruce gracing our screens recently (the incomparable Robert Pattinson), the popularity of arguably the world’s most famous superhero continues to peak.
With that and a second installment of The Batman officially confirmed, we can think of no better time to take a closer look at all the places the Dark Knight called home.
Where does Batman live?
Just beyond the skyscrapers, surrounded by a sprawling estate and secret tech-filled caves, sits the ever-imposing, Wayne Manor.
There have been so many different versions over the years but they’ve all, in their own way, been equally impressive. Starting of course with the first feature-length depiction of our hero and his home back in 1966.
Batman: The Movie (1966)
Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin in Batman: The Movie (1966). Photo credit: IMDb
Having starred as Batman in the beloved television series, Adam West continued in the role for the first feature-length, live-action movie directed by Leslie H. Martinson. Since the film was made the same year as the show, we got the same Wayne manor in both.
Built in 1928 and valued by Redfin.com at over 20 million dollars, you’ll find this impressive property at 380 San Rafael Avenue in Pasadena. It boasts a whopping 10 bedrooms, six bathrooms, and almost five acres of land making it truly fit for a millionaire CEO (and part-time bat).
The impressively long list of other famous productions shot here includes Rush Hour, Murder, She Wrote, Alias, Stand By Me,The X-Files, and so many more.
It even features as the luxurious home where Helen (Rose Byrne) throws the infamous bridal shower in Bridesmaids. You know the scene where Megan (Melissa McCarthy) takes nine puppies as party favors and Annie (Kristen Wigg) flips out and tries to push over a chocolate fountain with her bare hands? Yeah, that all takes place at Batman’s house!
Batman (1989)
Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne, standing in front of the Knebworth House. Photo credit: Batman Wiki / Fandom
Ramping up the stakes in terms of square footage and, let’s be honest, literally everything else, Tim Burton’s 1989 take on Wayne Manor employed the use of a real-life castle.
That castle is Knebworth House, a stately Tudor home located in Stevenage in the UK. As famous for staging rock concerts as it is for a long history in film, the house and surrounding Knebworth estate have featured in countless blockbusters. The Kings’ Speech, 28 Weeks Later, Nanny McPhee, and Paddington 2 to name just a few.
As for television, you may have also spotted Knebworth doubling as Lady Pheobe’s country house in the latest season of You, and as the inside of Balmoral in The Crown. The best part? During the warmer months, you can buy reasonably priced tickets to tour the house and grounds and soak in all of that history in person.
Batman Returns (1992)

Three years later when Michael Keaton’s Batman, well, returned, Tim Burton gave him all new digs. This new and decidedly spookier home was so full of fantasy that it wasn’t actually real.
So, sadly no house to find but it makes perfect sense. Since the overall design concept for this installment was so wacky and exaggerated, it’s only fitting that Burton designed a house so unique it’s literally out of this world.

Batman Forever (1995)

As Keaton hung up his cape for the third installment, Val Kilmer stepped in to play the role with Joel Schumacher directing. Alongside our new hero came, you guessed it, a brand new Wayne Manor, and it looked nothing like the ones before.
Taking up the mantel was Stevenson Taylor Hall, home to The Webb Institute, a high-ranking college of engineering in Glen Cove, New York. This new home certainly felt more real, though if you ask us, it lost a little of the fantastical flair that made it feel so intriguing.
Interestingly though, the hall was a hit and went on to feature as Wayne Manor twice more. Firstly in Schumacher’s 1997 sequel, Batman & Robin, then again in the television series, Gotham in 2014.
Recognize this location? Scenes from the 1998 movie, Great Expectations starring Gwyneth Paltrow, and the CBS series, Limitless were also filmed here!
Batman & Robin (1997)
George Clooney as Batman and Michael Gough as Alfred in Batman & Robin (1997). Photo credit: IMDb
George Clooney‘s Batman was by no means anyone’s favorite, but that’s not to say the 1997 movie did not leave a lasting legacy. In fact, Clooney recently donned the superhero cape recently for a cameo in 2023’s The Flash, 25 years after his run as Batman.
Also directed by Joel Schumacher, this installment in the Schumacherverse may have changed up the lead actor, with Clooney replacing Val Kilmer, but both Chris O’Donnell (as Robin) and the Webb Institute in Glen Cove, New York (as Wayne Manor) retained their roles.
Batman Begins (2005)
”…this place is a mausoleum. If I have my way, I’ll pull the damn thing down brick by brick.”
Bruce Wayne – “Batman Begins“, 2005
Jumping ahead ten years to 2005 Christian Bale is our brand new Batman. Just when we thought Wayne Manor couldn’t be any more impressive, Mentmore Towers appears.

One of the most iconic and visually striking Residences of the entire franchise, this palatial estate in Buckinghamshire, England dates back to 1852. It has also played a role in countless other iconic movies including Eyes Wide Shut, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, and even Johnny English!
Sadly as of last year, and since plans to turn the house into a luxury hotel fell through, this once revered estate now sits in a state of decay. The English Heritage register now has it listed as ‘at risk’. We’re hoping someone swoops in soon to rescue this monumental piece of historical real estate.
The Dark Knight (2008)
With art almost imitating life, by the end of Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne’s home lies in ruin. All but burned to the ground after an attack by Ra’s al Ghul, Bruce has to leave the mansion and set up shop in his New York apartment.

Not quite as grand but we’ll always welcome a swanky NYC penthouse, however, that’s not where these scenes were shot. In fact, filming took place in Chicago, in the lobby of a Mies Van Der Rohe building.
City views were added with green screens to make it look as if the apartment was sitting above the New York skyline when in reality, it was on the ground floor!

Okay, so we know we said earlier that each Wayne Manor has proved equally as impressive as the last, but we were wrong.
Woolaton Hall and the surrounding Deer Park, aka, the newly re-built Wayne estate, might just be the most iconic of all the manors we’ve seen so far. Standing proudly in 500 acres of natural parkland in Nottingham, England, this beautiful Grade I listed building is the one we picture when we when think of the Wayne residence.
And can you visit Batman’s house? Yes! Open from January to May and again from August until November, tickets are available on their website.
The Batman (2022)
A final ten-year leap and Robert Pattinson has donned the cape! And serving as a background was not a CGI-generated mansion or a palatial English estate, but something in between.

This iteration of the Wayne manor introduces something new altogether with a sleek Art Deco-style tower and an eclectic mix of architectural styles inside. According to Architectural Digest, however, it’s this unique blend of styles that means it’s unlikely this is a real residence.
Unfortunate, but at least we have plenty of other Manor’s on our to-visit list!
The Batman’s second installment is scheduled for release in 2026 and we can’t wait to see all the action. But mainly, we can’t wait to see Bruce’s next house!

In one of Tribeca’s most iconic century-old buildings, a newly revamped penthouse has landed on the market with a $24.45 million asking price and a whole range of features and amenities you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else in the city.
The penthouse sits atop one of New York’s most iconic landmarks — the Renaissance Revival-style 108 Leonard, formerly known as 346 Broadway or the Clock Tower Building — originally designed in the 1890s by renowned architects McKim, Mead & White for the New York Life Insurance Company.
The full-block beaux-arts building has since been reborn as a luxury condominium that attracts big names like Nicole Kidman and Samuel L. Jackson, thanks to a masterful transformation at the hands of the Elad Group, a prestigious NYC developer known for historic conversions like The Plaza and for its neighborhood-defining new construction like THE 74 on the Upper East Side.
Spanning three floors, the most coveted residence at 108 Leonard has rightfully been dubbed the Crown Penthouse and resembles “a townhouse in the sky”, as the listing rightfully points out.
It’s now being offered for sale at $24,450,000, with an all-star Douglas Elliman team in charge of the listing (Elena Sarkissian, Jane Powers, Raphael DeNiro, Christopher Salierno, and Matthew MacKay).

Spec-wise, the 6,252-square-foot penthouse residence is a 5-bedroom, 5-bath, 2-powder room triplex with an additional 2,173 square feet of combined outdoor space.
It is a true “townhouse in the sky” occupying the 14th, 15th, and 16th floors of the building which, combined with 108 Leonard’s prestige, location, and architectural details, and complemented by views that extend from the Empire State Building and Midtown skyline to the North, the East River and beyond, make it one of the most desirable trophy homes in the city.
“This is the pinnacle of luxury living in the heart of Tribeca,” says Elena Sarkissian, Director of Sales at 108 Leonard with Douglas Elliman Development Marketing.
“This extraordinary triplex blends the tranquility of a private sanctuary with the vibrant energy of the city’s new gallery district. Towering arched windows and soaring 16-foot ceilings — features impossible to replicate today — set the stage for a truly singular design experience unlike any other.”
Custom-designed interiors by Jeffrey Beers International
The interiors bear the signature of Award-winning hospitality design firm Jeffrey Beers International, which also worked on the Hard Rock Hotel in New York, The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, The Newbury Boston, Peter Luger Las Vegas, Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, and Jay-Z’s 40/40 CLUB, to name just a few of their upscale projects.
They also left their mark on some of the city’s other prominent luxury condo developments, including 277 Fifth Avenue, One West End, and the mixed-use One57.
For 108 Leonard’s Crown Penthouse, the design firm worked to highlight the existing, distinctive design features while also incorporating contemporary finishes, without altering the historic feel.

The 15th floor has a large southern terrace accessible from the media room, providing additional space for entertaining guests. There is also a separate northern terrace off the bedrooms on this level.
The stunning 16th floor primary suite has its own private east-facing terrace highlighted by the iconic copper cupola atop the building. With over 1,000 square feet of outdoor space, the terrace offers ample room for outdoor furnishings and relaxation while taking in views of the Midtown skyline and East River bridges.
Set inside a century-old piece of Tribeca history
Originally designed in the 1890s by the renowned architectural firm McKim, Mead & White, the National Register of Historic Places-listed 108 Leonard building is an iconic example of beaux-arts design.

The full-block building was constructed in the Renaissance Revival style, with Italian Renaissance architectural details. McKim, Mead & White, the preeminent American architecture firm at the turn of the 20th century, is perhaps best known for grand civic structures like the original Pennsylvania Station and the Brooklyn Museum.
108 Leonard’s extensive list of amenities
The Crown Penthouse at 108 Leonard offers residents access to multiple attended lobbies, a discreet drive-in motor reception with private valet parking, and over 20,000 square feet of wellness-driven amenities.
Photo credit: Evan Joseph Photography / Douglas Elliman
These include a 75-foot lap pool with an adjacent hot tub, sauna, and steam rooms for relaxing and rejuvenating, as well as a spacious 2,200-square-foot fitness center outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment.
Residents can also make use of the chef’s demonstration kitchen and adjacent entertaining lounge for hosting private dinner parties and events. Other posh entertainment options include a private dining room featuring a bespoke wine cellar, a landmarked mezzanine-level lounge known as “the marble room”, and several beautifully appointed media & game rooms, and rooftop gardens.
The Alice in Wonderland-themed children’s playroom is a whimsical space that not only serves its function perfectly but pays tribute to the building’s storied history — with a wall-sized clock and gears hinting at 108 Leonard’s well-known moniker of “the Clock Building”.
A special nod to the marble-clad lobby & marble room
While wellness and entertainment-oriented amenities are a staple of luxury condo developments, 108 Leonard has a few aces up its sleeve that other buildings simply can’t match.
Among them is the double-height main lobby accessed from the Leonard Street entrance. Designated as a New York City interior landmark, the imposing space contains a terrazzo floor, marble walls, and staircases with marble balustrades.

It seems the cruise lines are all trying to outdo each other by seeing who can build the biggest ship with the most bells and whistles. However, bigger is not always better. Some ports can’t fit the mega ships or accommodate the large number of passengers they bring with them. Other times, the cruise is all about the itinerary and not the ship.
That’s the case with the Celebrity Millennium, the namesake of Celebrity Cruises‘ Millennium class of ships which also includes the Infinity, the Constellation, and the Summit.
All four ships are on the smaller side when compared to Celebrity’s Solstice and Edge class ships, and they don’t have all of the latest and greatest amenities, but they’re very adequate, especially for port-intensive itineraries in Asia.
Celebrity Millennium overview
The Millennium is an older ship, with its maiden voyage taking place on July 1, 2000. However, in 2019 it received an extensive upgrade as part of Celebrity’s fleet-wide modernization effort, which cost the cruise line more than $500 million. The Millennium currently has a guest capacity of 2,218 with 11 guest decks.
The ship’s home port is in Tokyo, and it has spent the past few seasons sailing itineraries around Asia, notably taking passengers to various ports of call in Japan. It will remain there at least through the 2025-2026 season.
Unlike some cruise ships, the Millennium spends a lot of time in port, visiting up to eight ports on a 12-night itinerary. This means the ship is more often a place to eat and sleep when you’re not out exploring, instead of a destination itself — the onboard entertainment options are just an extra bonus.
Millennium accommodations
There are a total of 1,109 staterooms on the Millennium, and 58% of them feature a veranda. There are 10 different room types from which to choose — they range from luxurious suites to concierge-level rooms to basic interior staterooms.
The photo below shows a veranda stateroom on Deck 6, with 170-square feet of space and a 38-square foot balcony. The large bed can also be separated into two twin beds if needed. In addition to the area pictured, the room also features a refrigerator, drawers, a closet and a safe.

The veranda room also comes with a small desk area near the sliding glass balcony door. The desk features several outlets for charging your electronics: two American-style outlets, two USB-A ports and one European-style outlet. There are additional outlets near the bed.

🤓Nerdy Tip
Bring a small clock with you if you’re sailing on the Millennium. There isn’t one in the room, and it’s nice to know what time it is without having to pull out your phone.
Millennium cabin types
In addition to the veranda stateroom described above, the Millennium has several other room types:
Inside cabins and ocean view staterooms: These rooms provide 170-square feet of space and either no windows or a porthole window with ocean view, but no balcony.
Concierge Class staterooms: Concierge class rooms come with a veranda and are slightly larger at 209-square feet. These rooms have a dedicated concierge and provide passengers with access to exclusive events.
Aqua Class staterooms: For those interested in a wellness-focus, these rooms come with a veranda, premium bathroom amenities, complimentary fitness classes, access to the Persian Gardens thermal suite and complimentary dining at Blu, a “clean cuisine” restaurant solely for Aqua Class passengers.
The Retreat: This exclusive section on the ship is reserved for four different types of suites. The cabins are larger — two penthouse suites clock in at 1,432-square feet each — and guests have access to a private lounge and sundeck as well as a dedicated restaurant, Luminae. In addition to the two penthouse suites, there are 48 smaller suites on offer.
Dining on the Celebrity Millennium
The Celebrity Millennium is a bit of a throwback to the days where the main dining room was the main attraction, with the Metropolitan dining room taking center stage. However, there are several other dining options on board, ranging from a buffet to specialty restaurants that cost extra.
Metropolitan dining room
The Metropolitan dining room is the main dining venue on Decks 4 and 5. The lower deck offers anytime seating where guests can come and go when they want. The seating on Deck 5 is divided into early and late seating, where passengers show up for meals at a set time.
Parts of the restaurant are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the dinner menu changes nightly. Dining in the main dining room is included in the cruise fare.

The Oceanview Café
The Oceanview Café is the buffet on Deck 10 that has a variety of food stations to choose from.
The Oceanview is open for all meals and for late-night pizza. The offerings change daily for lunch and dinner, while the breakfast menu stays pretty much the same.
The Oceanview is also where many special events happen, like special Christmas and New Year’s buffets.
Other free dining venues
Other free dining venues on the Millennium include:
Café al Bacio on Deck 5 has coffee drinks, both boozy and traditional, as well as a case with breakfast pastries in the mornings and desserts all day.
Spa Café on Deck 10 in the Solarium has healthy dishes for free and a juice/smoothie bar (which you have to pay for unless you have a premium or non-alcoholic drink package).
The Mast Grill is near the outdoor pool and has grilled hamburgers, veggie burgers, turkey burgers and hot dogs. It’s also the place to get great French fries that are perfect to eat while getting some sun near the pool.

Restaurants for Aqua Class and Retreat passengers
There are also two restaurants that are exclusively for those staying in certain cabin types.
Luminae on Deck 4 is for guests staying in suites in The Retreat. It is always open for breakfast and dinner and serves lunch on days at sea.

Specialty dining restaurants
The Celebrity Millennium also has four specialty dining venues that either have a prix fixe menu or a la carte fare:
Le Petit Chef at Qsine combines food, entertainment and 3D mapping to create a unique dinner show experience.
The Tuscan Grille is a combination of an Italian restaurant and a steakhouse.
Sushi on Five is exactly what it says it is, a sushi restaurant on Deck 5.
The Gelateria is also on Deck 5 and serves gelato charged by the scoop.

🤓Nerdy Tip
If you want to dine at all of the specialty dining restaurants, a specialty dining package can save you some money instead of paying each cover charge separately.
Bars and lounges
As with any cruise, there’s no shortage of places to partake in a cocktail or enjoy a glass of wine. Drinks and lounges are available on each deck, and you can carry drinks from place to place.
The Sky Lounge is located on Deck 11 and features great ocean views as well as music and dancing after dark.
Cellar Masters is on Deck 5 near the Metropolitan Restaurant. Wine is the specialty here and they serve vintages that are not available at other bars.

🤓Nerdy Tip
Make sure you understand the pricing limits if you have a drink package. The classic drink package includes most items up to $10. The Premium package includes items up to $17. If you order something that costs more than your package limit, you will have to pay the difference.
At the Martini Bar and Crush on Deck 4, bartenders put on a show for guests while constructing complicated drinks, all atop an ice-covered bar.

The Rendezvous Lounge is on Deck 4 near the lower level of the Metropolitan Restaurant. It’s a great spot for a pre-dinner cocktail or after-dinner dancing.

The Sunset Bar is also the outside seating area for the Oceanview Café on Deck 10. It’s a great place to watch the wake when the ship is sailing or catch some live music in the evenings.

Public areas
The Celebrity Millennium is one of the line’s smaller ships. There is a main atrium area that runs through Decks 3, 4 and 5.

The Theater spans Decks 4 and 5. During most cruises, there are several shows featuring singers, dancers and aerialists as well as other shows with musicians and comedians.

The Casino is on Deck 4. It is closed while in port, but open when at sea. There are plenty of slot machines, roulette wheels, blackjack tables and more.

Pools and outdoor venues
The Celebrity Millennium has two main pools. One is outdoors and for all ages. The other, dubbed The Solarium, is indoors and for adults only. Both are on Deck 10.
The main pool has chairs situated around its perimeter. Some are in the sun while others are under cover. There are also several hot tubs passengers can use here. A dual-purpose jogging and walking track circles the pool up on Deck 11.

Sports decks

There are also nearby cabanas for taking a break between games.

Shopping
Shopping is not a big focus on a smaller ship like the Celebrity Millennium, but there are a few shops on Deck 5. You can find necessities like toiletries, as well as indulgent items like jewelry.

Celebrity Millennium recapped
The Celebrity Millennium may not be the newest or biggest cruise ship, but it’s an adequate vessel for port intensive itineraries like Asia, where it will be sailing at least through the 2025-2026 season.
If you’d like to sail on the Millennium, itineraries range from 11 to 14 nights and may include stops in Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

The constraints of a Brooklyn town house renovation might, at first glance, seem rigid and prescriptive—stacked floors, each long and narrow, bound by four exterior walls, the front one often landmarked. Inside, the primary challenge is universal: how to best bring light into that interior core. But as the architecture firm Leroy Street Studio was recently reminded, the idiosyncrasies of this classic building type can be as varied and compelling as its inhabitants.
Six years ago, the Leroy Street team was approached by Jeanne and Dennis Masel, a creative and philanthropic couple who had recently purchased a historic home in Park Slope. Originally designed by architect Fred W. Eisenla, the 1910 property hews to the British Regency style, with bowed windows, a limestone façade, a central entrance, and a street-level stoop. This was not, in other words, your typical brownstone.
Nor were the Masels your typical clients. In describing their vision for the home, Dennis, a free-spirited entrepreneur, musician, and film producer, is quick to invoke rock ‘n’ roll and fun as guiding principles. Jeanne, the founder of Art for Change, brought her own yen for whimsy and adventure, not to mention a dynamic trove of contemporary works. “Our architectural ambition had to match her commitment to art,” says Leroy Street partner Shawn Watts. “The house was already beautiful on the street but it didn’t have the spatial complexity that the clients needed for their collection.”
So he made a bold pitch: Why not completely reimagine the rear half of the house, replacing three levels with two so as to yield high ceilings and ample wall space? Whereas the lower half of that pair now contains the kitchen, dining area, and sunken family room, the upper comprises the formal living room and library. “That was our big move,” Watts explains of the staggered floor plates, noting that “by making this surgical intervention we then had to reunite the front and back.”
To do so they created a sculptural but functional staircase, with fluid curves that shift to reveal a skylight only upon ascent. Its glow, however, is felt throughout the house, fulfilling the elusive promise of a bright core. Sun, all the while, bathes the family room and library thanks to sliding window walls. “It feels like you are in the garden,” says Watts. Those blurred indoor/outdoor lines continue to the primary suite, which has a terrace of its own, as well as to the penthouse addition, which can open up to fresh air on two sides.
Art, of course, remains the focus. The mud room, accessible via a street-facing side entrance, was designed specifically for a circular work by Takashi Murakami. Framed by an archway, it now pops against magenta walls—a hue echoed in the Tracey Emin neon piece at the base of the staircase. Elsewhere are works by past collaborators with Art For Change, which partners with nonprofits to raise funds through the sale of prints. Those include the dining area’s paintings by Danielle Orchard and Hyegyeong G. Choi, and the primary bath’s site-specific mosaic by Summer Wheat. “We talked a lot about having the unexpected around each corner,” Dennis reflects of the overall mix, which remains in flux as the couple rotates pieces in and out of storage.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, aka Bennifer, have finally found their perfect love nest — one that’s modeled after a famous queen’s lavish chateau.
It may have taken them two years and three failed escrows but the wait paid off because this mansion is the ultimate luxury home for the power couple.
Many were confused over the stars’ indecision to commit to buying a property. With an unlimited budget at their disposal, it was a little out of the ordinary that these A-listers kept changing their minds.
According to reports, the two looked at mansions in the range of $35 to as high as $85 million in the most exclusive neighborhoods. But none of them quite passed the mark, leading people to believe that there was trouble in paradise. Or are they just really picky?
All doubts were cast aside when the lovebirds set their eyes on this mansion. They instantly fell in love with the property! They paid $61 million in cold cash and the deal took just one week to close, per TMZ.
What’s not to love? This stunning mansion is inspired by one of the most iconic chateaus in history.
The mansion was modeled after Marie Antoinette’s chateau, Le Petit Trianon
Dubbed the Wallingford Estate, the Beverly Hills abode features French-style architecture that was originally modeled after Marie Antoinette’s private chateau, Le Petit Trianon.

The queen’s manor, located on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles, was a gift from her husband, King Louis XVI.
Known for her love for all things opulent, Marie Antoinette adored her private estate. It served as a place of refuge, where the queen staged operas, productions, and lavish parties.

While the interiors have been modernized with state-of-the-art technology and contemporary furniture, it still retains its French Neoclassic ambiance.
Ben and J.Lo’s house has 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms
Situated on a 5.2-acre lot, the megamansion boasts a total of 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms across an impressive 38,000 square feet of indoor living space — providing plenty of living space for Ben and Jen’s blended family.
You can take a closer look inside Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s new mansion here (swipe to see the revamped interiors):
The couple are co-parenting peacefully with their exes (Jennifer Gardner and Marc Anthony) and share five children between them.
There won’t be any shortage of space for their big family in this huge mansion!
Like its sprawling grounds, everything about this house is grand. The double-door entryway opens to an expansive living room with double-height ceilings and large skylights that make the space even more massive.
White walls with frame molding display sophistication, while large windows allow plenty of natural light to brighten up every corner of the open floor space.
JLo previously shared a glimpse of the mansion’s downstairs area on Instagram while celebrating the success of Mother with her friends. Walking from the stairs to the bar, fans got a view of the gorgeous interiors of the ground floor.
Another highlight of this property is its secured grounds — a top requirement among high-profile celebrities. The mansion is surrounded by tall hedges and comes fully fenced with secured entrance and exit gates from two different private streets.
This design layout safeguards the often-photographed couple from prying eyes and paparazzi. And we know all too well how much Ben Affleck ‘loves’ paparazzi, don’t we?
Recreational amenities include a 155-foot-long infinity pool, a home theater, spa areas, a full-service salon, and a sports complex complete with a basketball court, a pickleball court, a fully equipped gym, and a boxing ring.
Visitors can also enjoy a slice of luxury living in the 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse. This structure also houses the garage area, which is large enough to fit 90 cars!
It’s one of the most luxurious homes in all of Beverly Hills
Fitting for one of Hollywood’s most famous couples, Ben and Jennifer’s new house is one of the city’s most impressive mansions and was once one of L.A.’s priciest listings.

Sitting mere minutes away from the Beverly Hills Hotel in the gated Wallingford Estates community. It had previously been owned by healthcare entrepreneur Jeoung Lee before real estate mogul Gala Asher picked it up for $22 million back in 2016.
What followed was an extensive renovation that brought the sprawling mansion into the 21st century. Asher then sought to capitalize on his big investments in the property by listing it for a whopping $135 million in 2018.
With no takers, a series of price adjustments followed, until the famous couple finally took it off the market in 2023. The final sale price was $60,850,000 — which amounts to $1,601/sqft.
The moral of Ben and Jen’s house-hunting saga? Patience pays off. By holding off on their purchase, they were able to find a perfect palace to call their home. A happily-ever-after ending for a Hollywood royal couple.
