DreamPlan is the best home design software if you want powerful tools and simplicity of use.

The interior design program, out for Windows and Mac, helps you create buildings on multiple levels, furnish them with a library of 3D models, and customize homes inside and out. Yes, that even includes landscape design. It’s built to let you easily make modifications and alterations.

But, in our review, what we really liked about one of the best home design software tools is that it’s “designed to make it easy to make modifications, and even goes out of its way to help you understand the app’s inner workings.”

Trace Mode will be especially handy for those with existing floorplans. These can be imported into the home design software and turned into a 3D model.

DreamPlan features commercial and home licensing options – priced at $50 and $40 respectively, but check for regular discounts. So, it has a powerful enough toolset to use on a professional basis. But it’s intuitive enough for beginners.

For those just starting out with the best interior design software, the built-in video tutorials help you understand the inner workings of the app – just look for the subtle blue camera icon.

Long rendering times for low res photorealistic images

HomeByMe is one of the best interior design apps for when the ideas are racing. It’s browser-based – even mobile browsers are supported – and has Android and iOS apps, so you can map out thoughts for your home whenever and wherever inspiration strikes.

Since the interior design tool is cloud-only, you’ll need to stay connected to use it. During our time with the home design software, we were impressed that “HomeByMe offers a very affordable service with a myriad of options. We particularly appreciated the fact that the free plan doesn’t appear to limit your design options, and lets you work on up to three different projects.”

However, we were less impressed with the time it took to render low-res images. Worse, we found the free account pastes a giant watermark all across the image, rendering the effect pointless. HD images are rendered in minutes, and don’t have that watermark.

The platform offers three packages: free, one-time purchase, and monthly subscription. It’s a good way to see which works for you, as the free plan doesn’t appear to limit your design options, and lets you work on up to five projects.

The limit on the number of HD photorealistic images (1920x1080px) is somewhat compensated by offering an unlimited number of lower quality ones (640x360px). You can also place real-world, branded products in your rooms for extra realism.

HomeByMe has a lot to offer. If you’re not too fussed about those images, you can explore and create very complex designs with ease.

AR appears to struggle when furniture is in the way

MagicPlan is one of the best interior software kits for busy creatives and contractors.

When we reviewed the home design app, we liked its “easy to use features, an interesting AR option, and an original way of generating estimates for work needed to be done. The monthly subscriptions could pay for themselves if designing if your business, and it also offers you two free projects for casual users to explore as well.”

Like HomeByMe, it lets you build designs from your browser, or within the Android and iOS apps. The free solution lets you design two projects. A monthly subscription is needed to unlock MagicPlan’s full capabilities.

You’ll find three tools in one: Sketch, Report, and Estimate. Essentially, tiered subscription packages that offer additional features.

Sketch lets you create interior designs – and, for home users, that’s likely enough. Professional designers will appreciate the inclusion of reporting and estimating tools. Enterprise licensing is also available.

One of the best interior design software tools here is the AR-enabled ‘Scan with Camera’. This lets you scan and measure the room you’re in – although we suspect this augmented reality feature would function a lot better in an unfurnished space.

Best interior design software: FAQs

What is interior design software?

best 3D printers.

Time is a considerable factor. Even some of the best interior design software takes a long time to render concepts, especially when using photorealistic images. It’s a natural price to pay for high-resolution 3D designs. For some, speed may trump quality.

Check the system requirements for the software  In certain cases, highly professional interior design computer programs require high-performance computers. In this case, you may need a machine comparable to the best laptops for architecture students or the best laptops for engineering students.  These are build to smoothly run complex CAD designs.

Check the price (and pricing model), too. Some options, like HomeByMe, offer free, paid-for, and subscription versions of its home design software. Others offer only one pricing model, so choose the one that best suits your creative budget.

How we test the best interior design software

We’ve tested a massive range of creative apps, including the best digital art and drawing software and the best graphic design software. But whether we’re testing out the top tools for 3D design or the best software for interior decorating, we follow the same fair and rigorous review process.

When testing the best interior design software for homes, we’re looking to see how easy the experience is, how powerful the tools are, and how well the software performs. Designing in 3D can often take its toll on computers, after all.

Asset library sizes are a factor — interior design tools should make your creative ideas a reality, not just a loose approximation. We’re also reviewing these design apps based on use. Unlike consumer software, professional-grade tools offer more advanced features, but might also have steeper learning curves and more expensive pricing models. So, we assessed how well the interior design program delivers for its intended market – whether they’re professionals or personal users.

Essentially, when we test the very best interior design software for ourselves, we expect to see it work for its intended audience — whether they’re professional interior designers or creative enthusiasts.

During our tests across the best home design software tools, we first set up an account with the relevant software platform, whether as a download or online service. We then tested each app using a handful of files to see how the software for interior design could be used for creating indoor spaces from scratch, bearing in mind issues such as ease-of-use, professional viability, and performance.

Hard Rock International has rolled out the red carpet for the launch of its new loyalty program, Unity by Hard Rock.

Artist Noah Kahan recorded a cover of The Beatles’ “Come Together” for the ad campaign, reflecting how the program aims to connect the brand’s diverse offerings — hotels, cafes, casinos — for members worldwide.

“Hard Rock is uniquely positioned to launch this one-of-a-kind loyalty program that rewards our guests’ passions for entertainment, travel, gaming and food,” Keith Sheldon, president of entertainment & brand management at Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming, said in a statement.

Here’s what you need to know about this new loyalty program.

How to earn and redeem points

Members can earn Unity Points at Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming locations through gaming, dining, merchandise purchases and hotel stays. Earning rates vary.

  • Earn 3 points per $1 spent at participating cafes, Rock Shops and noncasino hotels.

  • Earn 1 point per $1 spent on nongaming spending in participating casinos.

  • Earn game-specific rates in participating casinos.

Points redeem like cash (100 points = $1) at participating locations.

You can use Unity points to earn loyalty status and move up membership tiers. To track loyalty status, Unity uses “Tier Credits” in addition to regular points earned.

You can earn Tier Credits toward higher membership status by spending at Hard Rock and Seminole locations throughout the calendar year. Earn 1 Tier Credit per $1 spent (rates may vary for casino gaming). Note the Tier score resets annually.

Hard Rock Unity member benefits

Unity members can access various benefits and services at over 200 Hard Rock locations worldwide, including hotels, cafes, casinos, Rock Shops and others. Benefits vary across locations and reward status.

There are four membership tiers: Star (0–3,999 tier credits), Legend (4,000–14,999 tier credits), and Icon (15,000+ tier credits). The fourth tier, X, is by invite-only.

Member benefits include:

  • Hotels and cafes: Members get exclusive rates, birthday treats (Cafes), priority seating (Icon & X tiers), and complimentary live music access (X tier) at participating locations.

  • Casinos and hotels/casinos: Members can book directly and receive special rates, play-based rewards, and tier-specific benefits.

  • Hard Rock Games: Unity members earn points and credits with purchases across online games.

  • Rock Shops: Members earn points and credits on qualifying merchandise purchases in store and online.

  • Extra travel partner benefits: Unity members enjoy reciprocal benefits with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises programs.

Come Together experiences sweepstakes

In addition the benefits and ways to earn points above, Hard Rock’s Unity program offers “Come Together Experiences,” a sweepstakes series of travel and entertainment prizes throughout the year. Learn details and how to enter at unity.hardrock.com/come-together. At time of publishing, these sweepstakes were open for entries, or coming soon.

  1. Win an all-inclusive Maldives vacation for two at the Hard Rock Hotel. The prize includes a seven-day, six-night stay with airfare, accommodations, watersports, spa access and dining options. Enter by Aug. 31, 2024.

  2. Win a trip to the Guitar Hotel in Hollywood, Florida, for three, for three nights (including airfare and ground transportation), a complimentary day cabana and a resort credit. You’ll also get tickets to an Inter Miami soccer match. Enter by June 30, 2024.

  3. Win an intimate concert experience for two with John Legend at the original Hard Rock Cafe in London. You’ll receive signed merchandise, a $200 Rock Shop gift card, airfare, lodging and ground transportation. Enter by July 31, 2024.

You can join Hard Rock Unity for free online or at any participating Hard Rock location, enter the sweepstakes and start racking up points and tier credits on your next visit or stay.

How to maximize your rewards

Apache is functioning normally

After a makeover, Omni Hotel & Resorts’ Select Guest loyalty program is now a spend-based rewards system, with members earning Omni Credits that can be redeemed for hotel stays.

Program members are rewarded for spending more with the brand; big spenders have access to a faster path to elite status and the chance to earn and redeem awards more quickly.

Technically, you can get all the way to its top-tier elite status level through spend alone. Want to host an event or big dinner? Why not do it when checked into the hotel to earn extra Omni Credits?

These changes make its loyalty program more in line with other major hotel loyalty programs in terms of your ability to spend to earn elite status tiers. Here’s what you can expect with the new version of the program.

How to earn Omni Credits

The new program awards Omni hotel points (known as Omni Credits) for qualifying purchases. Examples include eligible room rates, spending at onsite restaurants, bars and spas, and spend on other activities like hotel-run golf courses.

Members earn points at different rates depending on the type of purchase:

  • Per eligible room rate: Members earn 5-10 Omni Credits.

  • Per $100 of eligible purchases beyond the room: Members earn 1 Omni Credit.

The higher your elite status, the more Omni Credits you earn. Tier three and tier four levels, called Champion and Icon, earn 10 Omni Credits per night stay instead of five (like the two lower levels).

🤓Nerdy Tip

If your spending beyond the room rate doesn’t reach the minimum $100 increment, you won’t earn extra on the non-room spend. What’s more, this total does not round up. If you spend $199 on hotel dining, you’d earn only 1 Omni Credit — not 2 — unless you exceed the $200 mark.

Elite status tiers

Omni’s Select Guest loyalty program has four tiers of status: Member, Insider, Champion and Icon. Status is earned by qualifying spending with the brand and can be unlocked at $1,000, $4,000 and $8,000 spend levels, or “Tier Dollars.” Tier Dollars include most charges to the room except taxes, gratuities and fees.

Member

General members receive these benefits:

  • Free deluxe Wi-Fi.

  • Free bottled water and a welcome drink upon arrival.

  • Earn 5 Omni Credits per room night.

  • Earn 1 Omni Credit per $100 of other hotel purchases.

Insider

Once you spend at least $1,000 in Tier Dollars within the calendar year, you advance to tier 2, the Insider level.

Champion

After you spend $4,000 in Tier Dollars within the calendar year, you will level up to Champion status.

Icon

This is the top-tier level within the program and is for guests who spend at least $8,000 in Tier Dollars within the calendar year.

It’s clear that the more business you do with Omni Hotels & Resorts, the more benefits you will receive when achieving different elite status tiers.

How to redeem Omni Credits

Once you earn 100 Omni Credits (or 20 stays at the lower two status levels), you can redeem them for a night’s stay.

There are no complex award charts or dynamic pricing for your award redemptions, and Omni Credits are valid for 36 months from the date of earning.

🤓Nerdy Tip

When the program changed in January 2024, it converted existing Award Credits to Omni Credits at the rate of 1:5.

Omni Select Guest gives more rewards for frequent travelers (and spenders)

The more you spend with Omni, the faster your path to elite status and free night redemptions. These changes to the program make it more rewarding and put it more in line with other hotel loyalty programs. By spending $8,000 with the brand within a calendar year, you will reach the program’s highest elite status tier, Icon. 100 Omni Credits will net you a free award night, which can be redeemed on non-blackout dates at any of the 50+ Omni destinations in the U.S.

Do you want to learn how to get free money on Cash App?

Yes, you may be able to make or get free money on Cash App, and this can be an easy way to make extra money.

Cash App is a free app you can use on your phone to send, receive, and use money. It was started by Square, Inc. and works in the United States and the United Kingdom, and you can use it on both Android and iPhone devices. To use Cash App, you just link your debit card or bank account, and then, you can send money to friends or family by entering their Cash App username ($cashtag), phone number, or email. Think of it as an app similar to Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.

Getting money in your Cash App account is great because it is just like cash – you can use it to buy and pay for things, and even just transfer money into your regular bank account.

And, yes, this is doable. I have made extra income over the years and have had plenty of opportunities to put it into my Cash App account. I also just recently paid someone via Cash App, so this is an app that I have personally used to both pay someone (for their side hustle!) and to make extra money with.

Best Ways To Get Free Money on Cash App

Below, you will see the different ways to get free cash on Cash App.

Here are my quick picks to get started with:

  • Cash App referral program
  • Sell stuff online and get paid through Cash App
  • Survey Junkie
  • PrizeRebel
  • Utilize ATM fee waivers
  • Cash Card Boosts
  • Find Cash App giveaways

1. Cash App referral program

If you want to know how to get free money on Cash App, try joining the Cash App Referral Program. This is one of the most popular ways to get free money on Cash App.

When you invite friends to join Cash App using your referral code, you can make money and they can get a sign-up bonus.

The referral amount can vary, but usually it is around $5. You will want to verify what the amount is (as well as the stipulations) as they can vary depending on the time of year. They don’t always have a referral bonus, but they do a lot of the time!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Invite your friends – Use Cash App’s invite link to send to your friends to download the app.
  2. Enter your referral code – Make sure your friends enter your referral code when they sign up for Cash App.
  3. Link a new debit card or bank account – Your friends need to link a new debit card or bank account to their Cash App account.
  4. Send $5 – Your friends need to send at least $5 within 14 days of entering your referral code to an account that is not linked to them.

Cash App makes it simple to share its benefits with others, and the referral program lets you earn free money easily. If it’s already an app that you like to use, then this can be a way to share the app you use with the people you know and make some extra money.

Cash App has this referral program to get new people to join and use their app. Plus, by requiring a person to send money in order to qualify for the sign-up bonus, new users are getting used to how the app actually works – which will possibly help turn them into long-term app users.

2. Sell stuff online and get paid through Cash App

Selling items online and in person is a smart way to declutter and earn extra money. Plus, Cash App is a convenient way to get paid for the items you sell.

I have sold a lot of things over the years, and getting paid in cash is, of course, very nice. Cash App makes this possible!

Here’s how to sell your stuff using Cash App:

  1. Find things to sell – Look around your home for items you no longer need, like books, clothes, games, or electronics (like an old cell phone that you no longer use).
  2. Think about where you will sell your items – Popular selling apps and sites like Craigslist, Facebook, or OfferUp make it easy to list your items.
  3. List your items – Take clear photos and write a simple, honest description for each item. Set a fair price by checking similar items’ costs.
  4. Mention Cash App – When talking with buyers, let them know you accept payments through Cash App. You can mention that it’s fast and convenient for both parties.
  5. Stay safe – Be cautious when sharing your Cash App tag and only share it with trustworthy buyers. Of course, like when selling anything online, there can be a lot of scammers trying to waste your time.

3. Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie is a well-known website where you can make money by sharing your opinions through surveys.

If you complete three surveys each day on Survey Junkie, you can earn approximately $40 per month, which can be transferred to your Cash App account.

Please click here to sign up for Survey Junkie.

4. PrizeRebel

PrizeRebel is a website where you can earn reward points by answering surveys and watching short videos. Once you make enough points, you can exchange them for cash.

I personally just redeemed around $150 in points about two weeks ago, so I know this is a real way to get free cash!

PrizeRebel does not have an option for Cash App, but they do have an option to redeem your points for Venmo (among other options as well, such as ACH bank transfer, PayPal cash, and free gift cards), which is pretty close. You can transfer your money easily to Cash App from any of those options.

You can get a free $5 on Venmo for 500 points. This is similar to free Cash App money.

You can join PrizeRebel here.

5. Use their ATM fee waivers

Cash App has free ATM withdrawals as a great perk, so you can access your money without extra fees and keep more of your hard-earned cash.

If you receive paychecks of $300 or more directly into your Cash App each month, you qualify for waived ATM transaction fees. This means you won’t have to pay the usual $2.50 fee when using an in-network ATM, just for setting up your direct deposits.

If you use the ATM a lot, this can be an easy way to save money, and this is like free Cash App money.

6. Cash Card Boosts

Having a Cash App Card comes with a great benefit called Cash Card Boosts. Boosts work like instant coupons and instant discounts that give you discounts when you shop, helping you save money effortlessly.

Boosts can be for places like coffee shops and restaurants.

Here’s how to find and use Boosts on your Cash App card:

  1. Open Cash App – Tap the Card icon on your home screen.
  2. Add offers – Select an offer you like and add it to your card by tapping “Add Offer.”
  3. Shop and save – Use your card at the selected places, and you’ll see the discounts applied automatically!

To use Boosts, make sure you have the Cash Card, a free debit card provided by Cash App. This card allows you to spend the money in your Cash App at stores that accept Visa.

7. Find Cash App giveaways

If you want to get free money on Cash App, entering sweepstakes and giveaways can be a fun way to try to win cash prizes.

To earn free cash on Cash App through giveaways:

  1. Follow brands on social media – Many companies host giveaways on platforms like Instagram. Follow your favorite brands and keep an eye out for their posts or stories announcing cash giveaways.
  2. Search hashtags – Use hashtags like #freecashapp, #cashappfriday, #giveaway, #giveawayalert, #contest, and #freebie on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to find free Cash App giveaways.
  3. Use sweepstakes websites – Subscribe to online sweepstakes websites that list current giveaways.

Entering these giveaways can be a way to try to get free money on Cash App, even though winning isn’t guaranteed.

I have entered a lot of giveaways over the years, and I have won cash a few times. So, yes, this is real!
